Huntress upgrades: explosive arrows route
Build Huntress for projectile coverage, explosive tags, and a safer early game before the final evolution lands.
Direct answer
For the version 1.0 explosive route, prioritize the bow toward Explosive Arrows, keep the decoy monkey for control, and take area or penetration only when it improves real crowd coverage.
What to know before the run
- Primary role
- Ranged coverage
- Damage route
- Explosive or Critical
- Range preference
- Mid to long
- Early requirement
- Penetration
- Control tools
- Decoy, traps, Frost
Upgrade order
- Stabilize the starting bow
- Recruit the explosive teammates
- Advance to Explosive Arrows
- Add projectile or area support
- Take sustain before late horde scaling
Version 1.0 note
The firing arc for Huntress tier-two and tier-three weapons was reduced from 30 to 20. Treat older wide-arc footage as outdated when comparing coverage.
Play around the range system
Huntress arrows keep their damage at mid and long range and lose some efficiency at point-blank range. Circle outside dense packs so the bow can cover lanes instead of firing from inside the horde.
Early upgrade order
Take Penetration before stacking raw bow damage, then add Multi-shot and finish the main weapon. One powerful arrow that stops at the first target cannot control a packed lane. Add Zombie Decoy when elite pressure forces Huntress inside her preferred range.
Explosive Arrow route
Use SWAT and Tank to supply Grenade Launcher, Rocket Launcher, Bombing Strike, and Explosive tags. Huntress should receive enough weapon upgrades to reach Explosive Arrows without delaying the team's first source of sustain. In a completed version of this route, Explosive Arrows should lead the weapon damage column.
Injured and Critical route
Barbed Penetration can guarantee Injured, while Multi-shot spreads it through the lane. Pair that with bonuses against Injured enemies, weapon Critical chance, and Critical damage. Ranger marks or rank-five Huntress nodes can add more Critical value, but the route still needs penetration before the multipliers matter.
Control route for dangerous maps
Frost Arrows, Bear Trap arrows, and a moving Zombie Decoy slow the horde and redirect pressure while the squad relocates. This route fits Bio Lab and projectile-heavy arenas. Arrow Rain becomes stronger after several ranks and benefits from duration; it is rarely the best answer to the first crowded minute.
Useful team links
Engineer adds taunting control and can interact with Frost Arrows. Tank adds a frontline and Rocket Launcher for an Explosive plan. Ranger supplies marks, Critical support, Luck, healing, and elite stuns. Mechanic adds Transmitter windows for Arrow Rain and control abilities.
Signs the Huntress build is behind
- Arrows stop on the first target because Penetration arrived late
- Huntress is forced into point-blank range with no decoy or taunt
- Two elemental arrow paths split the item and tag plan
- Arrow Rain consumes early levels before the bow can clear a lane
