Direct answer

The official 1.0 notes do not name a gameplay system called Moods. They do confirm Camp conversations, survivor routines, missions, radio messages, and Friendship rewards.

Quick reference

What to know before the run

Main story
15 missions
Survivor stories
45 missions
Repeatable
19 missions
Progress reward
Friendship

Confirmed social systems

  • Survivors talk to each other in Camp
  • Radio messages change after runs
  • Each survivor has a personal questline
  • Mission completion grants Friendship
  • Friendship improves Cash and Specialization gains

How to read a “mood” guide

Check whether it refers to a visible status in a newer patch, a localized label, or simply a survivor conversation state. Until an official source names the mechanic, avoid spending progression currency based on an unsupported table.

Use the Mission Log as the source of truth

The Mission Log records completed story beats, shows map or mode requirements, and lets you retry a failed mission. Conversation tone may change, but the official progression reward is Friendship from completed missions.

A practical Camp routine

  • Check the Briefing Room for a mission that fits the next run
  • Review the Mission Log before choosing the map and mode
  • Spend Specialization points in the Training Yard
  • Read Radio and Canteen conversations when following the story

Do not confuse dialogue with a combat status

Camp conversations and relationship progress can change what characters say, but the supplied materials do not show a separate in-run Mood meter. Follow visible mission requirements and Friendship rewards instead of tables that claim a hidden emotional modifier without a current interface screenshot.

Choose missions that overlap progression

A mission such as collecting Killing Frenzy power-ups can be completed while clearing a required map or mode. Stack objectives when possible, but do not take a narrow mission into a mode that disables achievements or forces a weaker build before the account is ready.
